What are the costs of owning a Porsche Boxster?
My car I have is a old ford ranger and is on its lasts legs. I am considering buying another car and a Porsche is a car I have always dreamed of owning. What I can afford is 11,000-15,000 dollars max.
The 350 dollars per month is my limit on payment costs.
What milage should I look for? I was considering 65,000 miles or less.
How much does gas cost you per month?
Is there anything I should be warned about? Anything that I should need to know when considering buying a porsche?
What are the costs of ownership and maintenance?

I am getting a loan for 15,000 for a privet party sale.
I have found several deals between 11,000-15,000.
They usually have 65000-120,000 miles on them.
Try to buy a 2000 or newer Boxster, preferably an "S." This will get you considerably more power and a six speed transmission. Moving up to a 2003 will get you a glass rear window and a regular glove box. As with any used car, everything depends on the care the car has seen. If there is no documentation to show the car has received the required oil changes and maintenance, walk away. If there are a few records missing, but the pattern of care looks good, you might consider the car.
Check the Car Fax, get a PPI, a Pre Purchase Inspection from a Porsche mechanic (not where you're buying the car), and drive the vehicle with a wary eye, including at high speed. Know the condition of brakes, tires, battery, hoses, belts, etc. before entering final price negotiations.
Someone always throws ridiculous maintenance cost estimates around on Answers. The last minor service on my 2005 911 Turbo S, at the Dealership, ran $295. LOL ! I've seen people claim an oil change on a Boxster would be $1,200.
Insurance can be steep if you're a new male driver, have a bad driving record, live in the wrong city, etc. Be sure you check on this before you buy.
